About

Formed in 2015, the Apollo Climbing Club is dedicated to the safe enjoyment of rock climbing.  We climb indoors year-round. When the weather allows, we also climb outdoors. We have climbed at a variety of outdoor destinations, including: Quarry Park, Palisade Head, Shovel Point, Taylors Falls, and Blue Mounds State Park.

The club is coached by Matt Stockinger, chemistry and computer science teacher at Apollo.  Mr. Stockinger has been rock climbing for almost 20 years and teaching about climbing for 10.  His recent ascents include Golden Ears Peak, BC, Canada; Mt. Baker, Washington; South Early Winter Spire, Washington; and Tricouni Peak, British Columbia, Canada.
